Our revisions cover genuine design refinement to reach a design and estimate you're happy with. They don't extend to prolonged indecision or repeated wholesale redesigns, and build pricing is set by independent builders, not controlled by Studio 72. See disclaimer.

How we work
Every Studio 72 home follows the same considered process — one coordinated path from design through approvals to delivery, kept aligned under a single accountable team and refined across decades of custom residential design.
Design Strategy
It starts with a focused design strategy session — understanding your goals, your site and what's possible. That's the foundation for a clear, tailored way forward and a proposal scoped to your project.
Concept Design
We confirm the site analysis, then sit down to capture your brief and wishlist and arrange the site survey the design needs. We prepare a first-draft custom design paired with an early, aligned build estimate — so the concept you approve is right for how you want to live and grounded in real-world feasibility.
Preparation of Development Application (DA)
We coordinate the entire approvals process for you — our planning specialists lead the advisory work, engage and manage every consultant the project needs, and prepare the design documentation and required compliance assessments, then assemble the complete development application package. One team pulling every thread together.
Development Application (DA) & Lodgement
We lodge the application with council and manage it through to consent — the public notification period, the conditions council attaches, and the design updates needed to satisfy them — then finalise your approved drawings for sign-off.
Builder Engagement
With approval secured, we move toward construction — preparing the tender and construction documentation, locking in your final inclusions, and coordinating a clear, aligned build contract. Design, approvals and build stay under one accountable process, so the path from first concept to a finished, handed-over home is managed end to end.

Who we are
Studio 72 Design is carved from almost five decades of custom residential design — the work of co-founder Richard, delivering bespoke homes across NSW and South East Queensland. Today that experience is a focused design studio: Richard's custom design leadership, joined with co-founder Will's commercial and delivery framework and Jade's operational rigour, so good design is delivered on the ground, every time.
